PROJECT BRIEF
Bridge of Hope was a nonprofit day shelter serving the Ville community of northern St. Louis for over 20 years. When I partnered with them for a brand refresh in 2024, the organization was pivoting toward medical respite care. To accompany this updated mission and reintroduce the nonprofit to stakeholders, I developed a visual identity rooted in growth and optimism. While a subsequent rebrand to Three Steps Home kept this specific system from making its way to print, the project remains a comprehensive study in aligning a visual brand with a shifting institutional mission.

Typography
For greater asset accessibility, I selected the identity's typography exclusively from Google Fonts. This choice guarantees that any team member can easily download and use the typefaces to create consistent marketing graphics.

Custom Lettering
I discovered that Carlito Bold Italic—used for “Hope” in the primary logotype—lost legibility when scaled down compared to Inter Bold Italic. To resolve this and create a cohesive typographic system, I manually rounded specific letterforms within Inter to mirror the anatomy of the Carlito characters.
